Hebrews 12:1

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses,
 let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles.
And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.

~Hebrews 12:1

Ideals

Ideals are like the stars - we never reach them,

but like the mariners of the sea we chart our course by them.

God Will Take Care of You

GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU

by

Civilla D. Martin

Be not dismayed whate’er betide;

God will take care of you.

Beneath His wings of love abide;

God will take care of you.

Refrain:

God will take care of you,

through ev'ry day, o’er all the way.

He will take care of you;

God will take care of you.

Through days of toil when heart doth fail,

God will take care of you.

When dangers fierce your path assail,

God will take care of you. [Refrain]

All you may need He will provide;

God will take care of you.

All strength you need will be supplied;

God will take care of you. [Refrain]

No matter what may be the test,

God will take care of you.

Lean, weary one, upon His breast;

God will take care of you. [Refrain]

The Bible

The Bible is not an option, it is a necessity.
You cannot grow spiritually strong without it.

John Newton - A Blessing of Grace

MAY THE GRACE OF CHRIST OUR SAVIOR

by

John Newton

May the grace of Christ our Savior

and the Father's boundless love,

with the Holy Spirit's favor,

rest upon us from above.

Thus may we abide in union

with each other and the Lord,

and possess in sweet communion

joys which earth cannot afford.

Revive Us Again!

REVIVE US AGAIN
by
W.P. McKay

We praise Thee, O God, for the Son of Thy love—
for Jesus, who died, and is now gone above.

Refrain:
Hallelujah! Thine the glory! Hallelujah! Amen!
Hallelujah! Thine the glory! Revive us again.

We praise Thee, O God, for Thy Spirit of Light
who has shown us our Savior and scattered our night. [Refrain]

All glory and praise to the Lamb that was slain,
who has borne all our sins and has cleansed ev'ry stain. [Refrain]

Revive us again; fill each heart with Thy love.
May each soul be rekindled with fire from above. [Refrain]

I Have Been Born Again - Rufus McDaniel

I HAVE BEEN BORN AGAIN

by

Rufus McDaniel

My heart glows with rapture, my cup runneth o’er,

Such joy, so transporting, I ne’er knew before;

It flows thro’ my soul from God’s heavenly store,

For I have been born again.

Chorus:

I’ll sing it and tell it wherever I go,

I want all to hear it, I want all to know,

The joy of salvation that makes the heart glow,

For I have been born again.

I know I’m redeemed, I’ve the witness within,

That Jesus has saved me and cleansed me from sin;

And now I’m rejoicing and living in Him,

For I have been born again. [Chorus]

I love my dear Savior, His work I will do;

I love all God’s people, I love sinners, too;

I love now the way of the cross to pursue,

For I have been born again. [Chorus]

I now have communion with God every day,

He graciously listens, and hears when I pray;

His smiles rest upon me, I know He is mine,

For I have been born again. [Chorus]

I have a bright prospect of glory divine,

For Jesus is with me, I know He is mine;

And some day in glory with Him I shall shine,

For I have been born again. [Chorus]

Oswald Chambers - New Birth

In new birth God does three impossible things;
the first is to make a man’s past as though
it had never been; the second, to make a man all over again;
and the third, to make a man as certain of God
as God is of himself.

~Oswald Chambers

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:
The old has gone, the new is here!

Who is on the Lord's Side?

WHO IS ON THE LORD'S SIDE?

by

Frances R. Havergal

Who is on the Lord’s side? Who will serve the King?

Who will be His helpers, other lives to bring?

Who will leave the world’s side? Who will face the foe?

Who is on the Lord’s side? Who for Him will go?

By Thy call of mercy, by Thy grace divine,

We are on the Lord’s side—Savior, we are Thine!

Not for weight of glory, nor for crown and palm,

Enter we the army, raise the warrior psalm;

But for love that claimeth lives for whom He died:

He whom Jesus saveth marches on His side.

By Thy love constraining, by Thy grace divine,

We are on the Lord’s side—Savior, we are Thine!

Jesus, Thou hast bought us, not with gold or gem,

But with Thine own lifeblood, for Thy diadem;

With Thy blessing filling each who comes to Thee,

Thou hast made us willing, Thou hast made us free.

By Thy grand redemption, by Thy grace divine,

We are on the Lord’s side—Savior, we are Thine!

Fierce may be the conflict, strong may be the foe,

But the King’s own army none can overthrow;

’Round His standard ranging, vict’ry is secure,

For His truth unchanging makes the triumph sure.

Joyfully enlisting, by Thy grace divine,

We are on the Lord’s side—Savior, we are Thine!

Chosen to be soldiers, in an alien land,

Chosen, called, and faithful, for our Captain’s band;

In the service royal, let us not grow cold,

Let us be right loyal, noble, true and bold.

Master, wilt Thou keep us, by Thy grace divine,

Always on the Lord’s side—Savior, always Thine!

Whoever is not with me is against me,
